As in all things, collective experiences culminate in a unique perspective. My perspective is rooted in the study of cities, architecture, traditional art, and language. Inspired by Walter Gropius and Bauhaus, I see design as a form which should exist unified with function. Web design is architecture in digital space and I strive to build designs to a purpose; craft efficient, valid code; and develop a strong online presence.
I studied Urban Studies and German at Furman University in Greenville, SC, a city with a wonderful, artistic personality. I also had the opportunity to study the architecture of Berlin--a showcase of beautiful and varied design--during a semester at the Freie Universität. I am constantly expanding my portfolio of design while working on illustration and art projects as well as photography.
